Can I be a member of SLUNA? Membership of the Association is generally open to persons of Sri Lankan origin resident in Canada, over 18 years of age, who expressly uphold the objects of the Association. But association is always encourage to apply and welcome all Canadian well-wishers and friends who shares the vision of the SLUNA to become a part of our open membership.
What are the benefit of being a member? Members are eligible for engage with all SLUNA activities, qualify for vote at annual general meeting and serve as an office bearer or elected member of standing committees and in ad-hoc committees.
Is membership free? No. There is an annual fee. It depends on the membership option chosen by each individuals, either ordinary membership or life membership. Details of membership fee is explained in membership application form. Fees are decided approved by the association’s annual general meeting.
How do I apply and proceed with my membership application? A copy of the applications form can bedownloaded here. Completed application can be emailed us or can be forwarded to the Secretary or to any other member of the Executive Committee. Each application must be sponsored by two Full Members of the Association and must be accompanied by the prescribed membership fee.
